The company said the achievement positions WizGene to gain a competitive edge in the core components market for robotics.<\/p>\n<p>WizGene\u2019s key milestone comes from the successful completion of the project \u201cDevelopment of a High-Performance, Lightweight Axial Flux Electric Propulsion System Based on ANSYS Simulation.\u201d Through the collaboration, WizGene received access to Ansys Motor-CAD software as well as the high-performance computing infrastructure required to operate it. This support significantly improved the speed and accuracy of the company\u2019s technology development process.<\/p>\n<p>By adopting Ansys Motor-CAD, WizGene was able to rapidly advance its AFPM proof of concept in response to a customer request for a robot actuator. As a result, the company successfully developed a high-performance AFPM robot joint actuator prototype delivering 2Nm of motor torque, with a peak torque of 4Nm. The prototype features a compact 80mm diameter, 40mm thickness, and an ultra-lightweight design weighing only 850g.<\/p>\n<p>This technological progress has created a foundation for collaboration with various robotics companies and has further strengthened WizGene\u2019s core competitiveness. In particular, it has provided the company with a unique base to fully internalize key technologies across the value chain, from AFPM motor design to bidirectional controllers and flight controllers.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, based on the technology development system established through this global collaboration project, WizGene is accelerating the expansion of high-reliability solutions essential for the future mobility and robotics markets. The company plans to combine its near-complete AFPM motor technology with an AI-based Prognostics and Health Management system that can diagnose motor conditions in real time and predict service life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this global corporate collaboration program, we were able to dramatically accelerate the development of next-generation motor technology and elevate our research capabilities to the next level,\u201d said Yoon Dong-guk, CEO of WizGene. \u201cWith the newly introduced high-performance computing infrastructure, we now have a strong foundation to expand beyond AFPM into advanced control and predictive maintenance technologies.
